Learning First-Hand at the FBI
April 29th, 2024
Landmark prides itself on providing students with opportunities to have first-hand experiences to bring content alive and make it more meaningful. Last week, the high school Law class visited the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Boston to meet with former Landmark parent and FBI agent, Scott Robbins P'16 as an extension of the unit they studied on law enforcement and the criminal process including arrests, search warrants, surveillance, investigations, cybercrime, and the Boston Marathon bombing.
Students toured the bureau, the motor pool, got to see a SWAT vehicle called the "BearCat" up close, and learned about specialized weaponry, safety, and surveillance equipment. Above all, students learned on-site and interviewed two agents about their experiences. Thanks to Mr. Ahearn and Mr. Barrett for arranging the trip and to Scott Robbins for making the visit so enlightening.
