Local History Fair Champ Heads to DC!
May 8th, 2023
JJ K.'27 is a mild-mannered eighth grade student at Landmark's Middle School, but he's competitive and laser focused when it comes to his research paper on the California Gold Rush for the regional and state History Fair competitions. In fact, he earned silver medals in both competitions and is now headed to Washington, D.C. to compete against more than 3,000 other middle and high school students for the National History Day Competition in June.
Ms. Palleschi, JJ's social studies teacher said, "JJ has worked really hard on his paper and has made adaptations and improvements with every stage of the competition. We are so proud of his hard work, focus, and knowledge on the subject."
Join us in wishing JJ well at Nationals!
