Position Overview

The Associate Director of Admission plays a critical role in advancing Landmark School’s mission by supporting the strategic recruitment, admission, and retention of students for our High School program. Reporting to the Director of Enrollment Management, this team member will assist in developing, implementing, and evaluating admission strategies and processes that reflect Landmark’s unique profile and values.

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, collaborative professional who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment and is eager to work closely with both students and families. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to shift seamlessly between multiple priorities.

Key Responsibilities

Actively promote Landmark School and build meaningful relationships with prospective students and families.

  • Lead group information sessions and open houses, including delivering presentations, guiding campus tours, and facilitating student panels.
  • Attend and assist with key events throughout the enrollment cycle, including revisit days, registration, new family events, and receptions.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for both prospective and accepted students and their families, providing guidance and support throughout the admission process.
  • Review application materials and assess student fit, including the interpretation of diagnostic testing, IEPs, and school records.
  • Conduct interviews with prospective students and collaborate with the Admission Committee on enrollment decisions.
  • Prepare and summarize accepted student profiles for internal faculty review, noting specific academic or programmatic needs.
  • Work closely with the Director of Enrollment Management to track enrollment metrics and monitor progress toward institutional goals.
  • Represent Landmark School at off-campus recruitment events such as educational consultant visits, school fairs, and professional gatherings.
  • Serve as an active and visible member of the school community by attending school meetings and events.
  • Support the ongoing development and execution of a strategic vision for enrollment, marketing, and retention.
  • Additional responsibilities may include:
    • Assisting with SEVIS-related work for international students
    • Supporting database implementation and training (InResonance, FACTS)
    • Leading departmental meetings or special projects as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Demonstrated experience in admissions, enrollment, or student-facing roles, ideally in independent schools or higher education
  • Familiarity with educational testing and support plans (e.g., IEPs, neuropsych evaluations)
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • High proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Calendar); experience with FACTS and InResonance is a plus
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Willingness to work some evenings and weekends for events
  • A positive attitude, strong work ethic, adaptability, and a sense of humor are essential
