Post-Secondary Options Abound!

March 27th, 2023

Despite a three-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Landmark High School's Transition and Guidance department hosted their second Post-Secondary School Fair for Students That Learn Differently on March 23, 2023. Over 50 exhibitors set up booths in the Alice Ansara Athletic Center to greet hundreds of attendees from Landmark School as well as towns as far away as Newton.

Kelly Scimone, the lead organizer from Landmark said, "We feel fortunate to have so many outstanding colleges, universities, and other programs eager to partner with us. But we also know that we are offering a valuable public service to families outside of Landmark School looking for something a little out-of-the-box that more specifically meets their student's post-secondary interests and needs." Suzanne Crossman, director of Transition and Guidance at Landmark added, "College isn't for everyone and we are proud to have been able to convene so many top-notch programs all in one location for students and their families to explore."

One parent shared an impression on their way out of the fair venue and said, "Thank you so much for holding this. We drove over an hour to attend and it was worth every minute. It is so nice that Landmark recognizes that there is more than just one path for students, and I wish more schools believed that."

Landmark School's Post-Secondary School Fair is planned to continue annually with a expanding list of exhibitors.
