Floating Faculty Position
Landmark High School

At Landmark High School the floating faculty position will require extreme flexibility by the individual. Floating faculty will work with the Sub Room Teacher to take on coverage needs for short and long-term leaves as well as taking tutorials/classes out of the subroom as needed on a daily basis. When not needed for subbing needs, there may be additional campus-specific projects this role will be assigned. This role will be supervised by the Academic Dean, and it is a full-time 10-month position.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Teach all tutorials and/or classes for short and long-term coverage
  • Design and implement curriculum for covered sections
  • Complete reports and attend family conferences/IEPs if covering during those cycles
  • Teach either a class or tutorial out of the subroom when not assigned to a short or long-term coverage
  • Attend all necessary faculty workshops and trainings
  • Other duties as assigned

Coverage

  • Weekday and weekend coverage commensurate with years of experience

Requirements

Preferred Experience and qualifications include:

  • Masters in Special Ed., Certification in Moderate Special Needs
  • At least 2 years of experience in an academic setting like Landmark (preferred, but not required)
  • Effective oral and written communication
  • Ability to be flexible in nature and manage a range of academic courses
  • Professional rapport with colleagues
  • Ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple tasks, prioritize, and maintain accurate records
