Landmark Sailing at Sharon Invitational
April 19th, 2024
Landmark Varsity Sailing had a great day on the water at the Sharon Invitational. A full fleet of 18 boats in both the A fleet and B fleet made for some very competitive races.
Grant G.and Abby L.sailed the A fleet. In 6 races, they notched a first place, three third places, a fifth place, and an eighth place to win the A fleet.
In the B fleet, Gabe S., Cam L., and Rowan H. combined to have a second place, a third place two 11th places, a 12th place, and a 17th place. In the last race of the day, Gabe and Cam pulled off an amazing come-from-behind downwind leg to move from 7th to 3rd place—missing a second place by mere inches.
The combined score for the two fleets placed Landmark in 4th place, just short of third place honors.
