Upcoming Webinars
That’s a wrap! The Landmark Learns 2026 series on Social and Emotional Learning has officially come to a close—but don’t worry, we’ll be back with a fresh 2027 series this fall.
In the meantime, there’s plenty to explore! Below, you can revisit our past webinars anytime—covering dyslexia, executive function, the science of reading, navigating the post-secondary process, and more.
Part One: What Is SEL?
Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) for Struggling Learners
What is social and emotional learning (SEL), why does it matter at school and at home, and how can families support children in building these skills? Join experts from Landmark School for an in-depth presentation on this relevant topic for students of all ages—especially those who struggle with reading, writing, speaking, and organization in traditional school environments. Parents can expect to get an overview of SEL, as well as practical tips.
Part Two: Self-Awareness & Self-Management
Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) for Struggling Learners
Managing emotions and actions without practical tools and strategies can be challenging—especially for school-aged children. Hear from Landmark School experts and learn skills to support your child with emotional vocabulary, managing frustration, building self-confidence, and how executive function is at play in these skills.

Part Three: Managing Relationships and Social Skills
Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) for Struggling Learners
Students with Language-Based Learning Differences (LBLD) often struggle to read social cues, use pragmatic language, and build strong peer relationships. This webinar will explain how LBLD affects social communication and why explicit instruction is essential. Families will learn practical, easy-to-use strategies—like role-playing, using books or TV to explore perspective-taking, teaching social scripts, and supporting conflict resolution—to help children navigate social situations with confidence.

Part Four: Responsible Decision-Making
Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) for Struggling Learners
Join Landmark School experts for a dynamic discussion exploring the complexities of responsible decision-making for school-aged children, especially those who may struggle in school. Understanding how actions and words at school and at home can elicit negative consequences and impulse control in managing emotions are skills that, for many, take some honing. The session will also highlight the implications of peer pressure on healthy reasoning. Presenters will provide practical strategies for parents as well as educators.

What Webinar Attendees Have Said
I am both a parent of a child who was recently diagnosed with dylexia as well as an educator who works with kids like our daughter, I am so grateful to Landmark to share freely what they've learned as pioneers in this field. Thank you!
Hearing from other educators who are also parents of children with Dyslexia and ADHD is as reassuring as it is informative! Learning about learning helps me be a better parent and teacher. Thank you.
