Where Creative Confidence Grows
From first sketch to standing ovation.
Dyslexic thinkers often see the world in original and creative ways—and the arts at Landmark are designed to help those strengths shine. Whether students are performing, designing, building, or creating, they are encouraged to experiment boldly, express themselves freely, and grow in confidence through meaningful artistic experiences.
Visual Arts
For many students, art becomes a place where creativity and confidence grow side by side. Through drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, and more, students are encouraged to take creative risks, develop their artistic voice, and see their ideas come to life.
At Landmark High School, Visual Arts is a place where creativity can be discovered, developed, and refined. Whether students are exploring art for the first time or building a college-ready portfolio, they strengthen technical skills, creative thinking, and artistic voice in a supportive environment designed to inspire experimentation, confidence, and self-expression.

Visual Arts at the Elementary and Middle School levels encourages students to explore, experiment, and create with confidence. Through classes and after-school opportunities like Photography, Pottery, Art of the Imagination, and more, students discover new interests while expressing themselves in fun and meaningful ways.
Industrial Arts
While developing technical skills and shop safety knowledge, students design and build projects that combine craftsmanship, creativity, and real-world problem-solving—resulting in pieces that are both functional and beautifully made.
Landmark’s Industrial Arts program gives students the opportunity to learn through hands-on experience, creativity, and real-world problem-solving. Programs are both elective classes and after-school opportunities in auto mechanics, welding, and woodworking. Students develop technical skills while learning to safely use tools, machinery, and materials in a professional shop environment. From repairing engines and fabricating metalwork to crafting furniture and custom wood projects, students build confidence through meaningful work that is both functional and creatively rewarding. Along the way, students strengthen attention to detail, perseverance, craftsmanship, and pride in creating something with their own hands.
STEAMworks and Technology
In Landmark’s STEAM program, curiosity drives learning. Through hands-on projects and creative problem-solving, students design, build, experiment, and explore while developing the confidence, collaboration, and critical-thinking skills needed for the future.
The STEAMworks Technology Department at Landmark High School blends creativity, technology, and hands-on learning to inspire curious and innovative thinkers. Through project-based courses in areas like programming, filmmaking, animation, engineering, fabrication, and music production, students build practical skills, strengthen executive function, and learn by designing, creating, and discovering.
At the Middle School level, our practical arts program features classes like Artful Woodworking and Maker Studio.
