Day of Silence 2023
April 28th, 2023
Landmark's Day of Silence was a reminder to our community of the many LGBTQIA+ people who have been silenced by those who do not or have not accepted them. Seniors Solenn M. and Joe G. organized Landmark's Day of Silence and did a stellar job of sharing information about the GSA as well as introducing the speaker, Tyler Brewer. As the silence was broken, Tyler spoke about his experiences. The cafeteria was filled with students and teachers who were participating and supporting the LGBTQIA+ community.
At Landmark we have worked to create a community that strives for inclusion and acceptance, not just tolerance. We hope that events like the Day of Silence will give needed attention to the struggles of the LGBTQIA+ community, as well as provide a moment to be aware of and grateful for Landmark's supportive environment.
