The overall purpose of Math Day is to change up the daily class routine, come together as a class, and to engage in collaborative math related activities in a friendly competition.

The spring 2023 Math Day focus was celebrating women and diversity in the math and science fields. Students explored different ways one might engage with math that are unexpected, like mapping constellations in the night sky or trying to retrieve a boarding pass that fell down a storm drain. Each class worked as a team to complete four different activities. The team that earned the most points was announced the winner. Below are the four activities:

3. Constellations in the Night Sky
4. Price is Right
