Career Day for Freshmen

April 12th, 2023

During Saturday School in April, the Transition and Guidance Department hosted their annual Career Day for Landmark School freshmen. Staff recruited and organized five panels falling into the following categories: business, creative careers, science, social serves, and trades/hands on careers. Panelists represented industries as diverse as real estate and finance to hair and makeup, and arborculture—Head of School, Josh Clark even shared his career path and lessons learned. See a full list of panelists below. Students moved from room to room to hear the panelists shared their experiences illustrating career highs, lows, and unexpected surprises. Many stressed the fact that their learning differences have helped them in a variety of aspects of their jobs and that finding the right fit takes time. Students had ample opportunities to ask questions and network with panelists, and everyone enjoyed some delicious pastries provided by SAGE Dining Services.
