Landmark's athletic program strives to achieve sportsmanship, leadership on and off the field, and commitment to one's team and sport. The program aims to teach critical thinking during practice and competition, time management skills, self-discipline, and the benefits of physical fitness.

Our goal is to challenge our student athletes to strive to be the best they can be on and off the field.

Varsity Track competes in the Eastern Independent League. The team practices and hosts meets at the Brigham Complex at Gordon College. Practices are weekday afternoons from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Head Coach Christina Scanlon can be reached at cscanlon@landmarkschool.org.

Christina Scanlon has been coaching cross-country and track at Landmark High School since 2016. Christina’s love for the sport started when she was 10 years old, after her parents signed her up for a 1-mile road race on Heartbreak Hill in Newton, Mass.  After that she was hooked! In high school she ran 12 seasons for Brookline High, where she captained cross country, and indoor and outdoor track her senior year. Christina was selected as a Bay State League All-Star Honorable Mention for cross country, and qualified for the MIAA Division 1 state meet in the 2-mile and 4 x 800 m relay.  Christina went on to compete at the D2 level, running cross-country for Stonehill College.  In 2017 she completed two marathons!

Christina loves coaching because she believes every students can learn valuable lessons from being a member of a team. Her goal is to support athletes in achieving their athletic goals, developing healthy life habits, leadership skills, time management, and building connections with their teammates.
