Landmark is a coeducational, multi-campus, approved Massachusetts Chapter 766 Private Day and Boarding school enrolling students in grades 2-12 diagnosed with dyslexia or another language-based learning disability (LBLD). These fall under the broader category of specific learning disabilities (SLD). Landmark’s unique, individualized approach empowers students to reach their academic and social potential.
Position Overview
The Custodial Worker provides general cleaning services and helps maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment in and around campus buildings as assigned by the Custodial Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, scrubbing, disinfecting bathrooms, cleaning windows, and removing trash from campus buildings
- Operating and transporting light cleaning equipment such as vacuums and floor machines (up to 25 pounds) between floors and buildings
- Occasionally lifting boxes or equipment weighing more than 25 pounds
- Reporting building repair needs and safety concerns to the Custodial Supervisor or maintenance staff
- Occasionally working overtime as needed
- Clear and shovel snow as needed
Requirements
- Ability to maintain clean, orderly, and sanitary buildings
- Physical ability to lift, bend, stoop, climb, and reach; capable of lifting more than 25 pounds when required
- Ability to follow directions and work effectively with others
- Positive attitude and willingness to support the unique demands of a mission-driven school community
- Successful completion of a post-offer, preemployment medical examination
- Satisfactory completion of a Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) and other related background checks.
- High school diploma, vocational school diploma, or successful completion of an equivalency exam

The expected pay range for this position is $17 - $20 per hour. Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s skills, relevant experience, education, and alignment with Landmark School’s pay framework for internal equity. In addition to salary, Landmark offers a comprehensive benefits package for eligible employees.
