What is LBLD?

Language-based learning disabilities are challenges that affect how people read, write, speak, and listen. There are a variety of learning challenges and diagnoses that fall under this broad category and include dyslexia, dyscalculia, dyspraxia, expressive and receptive language disorders, auditory processing disorder, disability of written expression, and executive language disorder, among others.
