6th Annual Spring Making Waves Concert & Auction
Please join us on Wednesday, April 15, 2020, for our 6th Annual Spring Making Waves Concert and Auction at the beautiful Shalin Liu Performance Center in Rockport, MA.
This year we are excited to announce GRAMMY Award-winner and R&B legend Mavis Staples as the marquee act!
- The evening begins at 5:00 p.m. with an exclusive On the Rocks cocktail reception for sponsors, donors, and reception ticket holders. The reception is held above the concert hall overlooking the picturesque Rockport Harbor. Tickets to the reception are sold separately.
- At 7:00 p.m. the concert and auction is kicked off by our emcee, local celebrity Billy Costa.
- Billy will guide guests through an exciting live auction followed by a fabulous performance from the Landmark High School chorus.
- Our marquee act, Mavis Staples, will round out the night.
This is an event you will not want to miss! Proceeds from Making Waves benefit The Landmark Fund.
Tickets will go live at the beginning of March and we will send an email out to our entire community with a link to reserve your seats. In the meantime, to secure a spot, consider a sponsorship opportunity.
Sponsorship and Advertising Opportunities
Limited sponsorship opportunities are now available—including a new sponsorship exclusively for Landmark alumni. All event sponsorships guarantee prime tickets to the concert, auction, and private On the Rocks cocktail reception.
Advertising space in the Making Waves playbill will also be available for purchase.
Hailed by NPR as “one of America’s defining voices of freedom and peace,” Staples is the kind of once-in-a-generation artist whose impact on music and culture would be difficult to overstate. She’s both a Blues and a Rock and Roll Hall of Famer; a civil rights icon; a GRAMMY Award-winner; a chart-topping soul/gospel/R&B pioneer; a National Arts Awards Lifetime Achievement recipient; and a Kennedy Center honoree. She marched with Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., performed at John F. Kennedy’s inauguration, and sang in Barack Obama’s White House. She’s collaborated with everyone from Prince and Bob Dylan to Arcade Fire and Hozier, blown away countless festival goers from Newport Folk and Glastonbury to Lollapalooza and Bonnaroo, performed with The Band at The Last Waltz, and graced the airwaves on Fallon, Colbert, Ellen, Austin City Limits, Jools Holland, the GRAMMYs, and more.
