2017 Prom

Friday, April 21, 2017

formal function hall with pink lightingThis year's Senior Prom will be held April 21, 2017, at Cruiseport Gloucester. Although Landmark proms are a senior event, many of the Landmark community members are invited as guests of a senior, so if your child is attending the prom, below you will find useful information.

In addition, we ask for your help and generosity. Last year’s prom was a huge success largely due to the fact that many senior parents stepped up to donate funds to offset the costs of the music, decorations, and favors. If it is possible, we would greatly appreciate any donations you could make toward creating a beautiful and memorable evening for our seniors. Thank you in advance for your generosity.

Prom Guidelines

•Prom tickets are $90 per person. Students should pay for tickets when they sign up. Students may pay cash, check, or charge their accounts with permission from Jean Crane. Checks should be made out to Landmark School.

•Landmark Prom is a formal event. Students are expected to be dressed in formal gowns or tuxedos.

•We will offer tuxedo fittings for students needing to rent a tuxedo.

•Flower ordering will be facilitated on campus. We use a small boutique florist in Marblehead, MA. Corsages/Wristlets cost $35 and boutonnieres are $10. Flowers must be paid for and ordered by April 12th. You may order flowers on your own if you wish to do so.

•Picture package order forms are available to students on the Senior Events bulletin board in the Alexander Building. Students are encouraged to pick the package that best suits them as early as possible. Pictures must be paid for at the prom or before. The photographer accepts checks (made out to Lifetouch), cash or credit cards. Residents can charge to their accounts with permission if they make arrangements to do so with Mrs. Crane and me at least one week in advance.

•Students planning to go to the prom must attend school on Friday, April 21st until 11:54 a.m.

*•Day students and residents must have written permission to depart from Landmark at 12:45 a.m. unless being picked up by his/her parent if they are not participating in the all night festivities. Students who are not being picked up post after prom are required to sleep on campus for a few hours before driving. Day students and/or non-Landmark dates can make arrangements to sleep in dorms with permission. Residents must follow normal weekend pass procedures. Any non-Landmark attendees must have a form filled out by their parents and school principal stating they are a student in good standing.

•If you would like to authorize senior-related expense withdrawal from your student’s account, please notify Jean Crane by e-mail at or send a letter to Landmark School, Attn: Jean Crane, PO Box 227, Prides Crossing, MA 01965.
