Presenter Janet Parady, M.S., Ed., Landmark High School, will explain the complexities of expository writing and why LBLD students struggle, summarize the steps in Landmark's structured writing process, identify how this process helps students become better writers, and illustrate some effective tools that support the writing process. Appropriate for parents and educators of students with language based learning disabilities.
Janet Parady is the Head of the Language Arts Department at Landmark School's High School, and author of The Trickster in African and African-American Folktales, Landmark Tutorial Training Manual and other writing curriculums. Associated with Landmark for twenty-six years, she has been a tutor, teacher, and an academic case manager. Janet has presented seminars for educators and parents throughout the country regarding methods for instructing all students within the language arts context. Janet has also served as adjunct professor for Simmons College and Fitchburg State College.
This workshop is sponsored by the Landmark Parents Association. Registration is free but required in advance. Space is limited.
