SUMMER
2008 - SEMINARS for STUDENTS
Landmark offers
three separate two-week Seminars for Students during summer
2008. Unlike Landmark’s traditional programs, these
classes best serve those students who do not need the remedial
or individualized instruction provided by Landmark School’s
academic programs.
The Summer Seminars are designed
specifically for students who are currently enrolled in public
and private high schools and need to develop strategies and
skills that they can apply across the curriculum. With a class
size of 10 to 12 students, extensive application of skills,
and instruction by two Landmark teachers, students learn a
variety of essential strategies.
Each
seminar introduces material in a structured multi-modal format
and provides for active, hands-on application of the material.
These two-week sessions start at 8:00 a.m. and end at 12:00
noon (no lunch or afternoon activities are offered).
At the end of the seminar, students receive a certificate
of completion and a checklist of suggested skills and strategies
to be implemented during the school year.
