My most interesting Christmas would definitely have to be when I was 7 ½. That was the year with the big blizzard. From this blizzard we got 5 feet of snow. Now when I was 7, I wasn’t even 4 foot 5 yet, so 5 feet of snow was mind boggling, it was magical. When I heard that we were going to have the snow storm, I yelled with joy that it was going to be the absolute best Christmas ever. When I woke up, I went into my little sister's room and woke her up, and we quietly went downstairs, but we weren’t going to the presents; we were going to see how much snow we actually got. I still remember the words my sister used to sum up what she was looking at; she said, “Martha we're in Narnia.” I was giggling because by being the older sister I had enough calming sense that there was definitely no such place as Narnia. After looking outside for a good amount of time, we went upstairs to wake up my parents. We told them about the piles and piles of snow. They were excited for us, but not too thrilled about how our power went out because our power line froze solid. But they made sure that wouldn’t ruin our Christmas. So we opened presents and had a great time, my little sister and I ate the leftovers of uneaten Santa cookies and were playing with our new toys. Then my dad came into the room and said, “Now who is going to dig up the snow?” I dropped my toy looked up at my dad, with a smile on my face and said, “I'll be right back.” I quickly ran upstairs and put on my snow suit and snow goggles, then ran down stairs and said, “I'm ready.” My mom grabbed the camera, and my dad grabbed the shovel, and we went out to my front porch. My dad lifted me up onto the railing, and I dove straight into the snow. 1,2,3,4,5,6 seconds went by, and then I popped out of the fluffy cold snow, and that was the moment I realized that ice cream was not the only way to get a brain freeze. Hours and hours went by, and I was shoveling and shoveling until I hit something, it was my front porch step. And I realized I had dug my whole house out of the harsh blizzard. I love how now so many years later I can still remember the cold on my face of being underneath the snow, the expression on my little sister's face of how much snow there was, and most of all, 7 the best Christmas ever.
