Senior Research Students hear an Activist Speak

On Wednesday January 25th, 9 seniors in the prep program's Senior Research course attended a lecture by Michael Pollan, author of "In Defense of Food", "Omnivore's Dilemma", "The Botany of Desire", and "Food Rules". He spoke at Symphony Hall in Boston as part of the Boston Speaker series. The students spent the second quarter writing a series of research papers about vegetarianism and other moral, cultural, psychological, and scientific aspects of food, so this was an amazing opportunity for them to see a leading activist in the sustainable food movement.

Athlete of the Week

Levi T has become an all-around threat for the Vikings in 2011-2012. Having already established himself as a low-post threat he has begun to use his height to lob 3 pointers over his opponents this year. Levi’s skill was most recently on display against Berwick when he managed to score 14 points in just the first half of play. His new offensive approach hasn’t affected his defense as he is among team leaders in both rebounds and blocked shots.
