Dear Residential Parents and Guardians,
As we approach the school year, we will once again be enjoying the company of your daughter, son or ward on orientation. All residential students are expected to participate in Residential Orientation.
This occurs the first several days of the school year. Accordingly, we ask that no student plan to go away or go home before Friday, September 3, 2010 leaving campus after 3:00 pm.
Orientation begins on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 following registration and extends through Friday, September 3, 2010.
Orientation is a wonderful opportunity for students to meet each other, learn about the community, and become familiar with staff who will be guiding them during their time at Landmark. It also gives us the opportunity to discuss with students the rules and policies of the system in a relaxed setting.
Students should come prepared to leave campus with their Houseparents, duty staff and dorm mates. We will be traveling to Moultonboro, New Hampshire and staying at Camp Winaukaee.
Males will spend their time on the mainland camp and females will enjoy the island camp. Ideally, sleeping bags, pillows, flashlights and camping type clothing would be necessary. This camp is waterfront on one of the most beautiful areas of Lake Winnipesaukee.
Any student who is medically or physically unable to participate in anything from camping, hiking, to canoeing needs to contact me as soon as possible so arrangements and modifications can be made.
Thank you, in advance, for your cooperation. I look forward to seeing you on opening day. Please enjoy the remainder of the summer and stay safe. I can be reached at (978) 236-3261.
Sincerely,
Robert B. Genetelli, Jr.
