Dungeons and Dragons and EMS

May 14th, 2024

Welcome to the fantastical realm of our Dungeons & Dragons Club, The Landmark School Adventurers' Guild! Imagine if Stonehenge wasn't just a mysterious collection of ancient stones, but rather a gateway to infinite dimensions. That's where our journey began in 2021, sparked by the imaginative curiosity of Eli B., a fifth-grade student at the time.

From that single spark of creativity, a flame ignited. Seven intrepid students banded together to embark on a grand adventure, fueled by dreams, imagination, and the thrill of problem-solving. Little did they know, this was just the beginning of an epic saga.

Fast forward to today, and our club has flourished, boasting a vibrant community of 14 dedicated members who gather regularly to explore the boundless possibilities of new worlds, dimensions, and stories. The Guild is split into two divisions – the D&D Starter Set, led by seasoned DM Nick Johnson, and Advanced D&D, led by yours truly, our members delve into realms teeming with magic, mystery, and perilous challenges.

But what truly sets our club apart is the spirit of inclusivity and empowerment. Here, every student is not just a player but also a storyteller. They have the opportunity to run part of a campaign or a one-shot (a stand-alone story), as they step into the shoes of a Dungeon Master, crafting intricate worlds and guiding their fellow adventurers through thrilling quests of their own making.

At its core, our club is a celebration of teamwork, camaraderie, and the sheer joy of unleashing one's imagination. Whether you're a seasoned veteran or a newcomer to the realm of Dungeons & Dragons, there's a place for you here. So join us as we embark on daring quests, forge unbreakable bonds, and create memories that will last a lifetime. After all, in the world of Dungeons & Dragons, the only limit is your imagination.

We meet on Thursdays after school from 3:15-4:30, and we'd love to have you!

Thank you, Mr. Harris, for writing this article and leading the D&D club at EMS.
