Book Tasting
January 22nd, 2024
On one of the coldest afternoons of the year in January, Mrs. Stark donned her apron and led the charge to host a "book tasting" for elementary students to sample books in a variety of genres. The Elementary•Middle School lobby was transformed into a festive Italian eatery with music, red and white gingham tablecloths, streamers, flickering candles, and more. Mustaches, chef’s hats, and saucy attitudes were encouraged! After decorating their own aprons and their place setting, students filled out a booklet to review four books, ultimately choosing a selection to take out of the library. Thanks to all of the elementary teachers, and especially librarian, Mrs. Sylvester, for curating such wonderful books for students to review.
