National Endowment for the Humanities Grant
Landmark High School was awarded a "Picturing America" grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities, in cooperation with the American Library Association. The school received a collection of 20 laminated poster-sized reproductions of visual art and iconic images which include paintings, sculpture, modern architecture, decorative arts and photography. These unique teaching materials, accompanied by a Teacher Resource Book, are designed to invoke narrative, visual, and imaginative responses.
"Picturing America" was established to foster an appreciation for the rich connections between American art, history, and culture. Landmark's Art Department Head Beth Jamieson and Librarian Carol Ann Dumond applied for this grant to accommodate instruction and enrichment in teaching core curriculum and elective subjects. The award materials provide an extraordinary resource to both the Alexander Memorial Library and the Art Department.

A wonderful grant for the study of significant works, as well as, a visual prespective of the history of our nation.
Enjoy!
This is great! Congratulations to the school and community!
