The Evening of Dance
April 23rd, 2024
The Landmark Dance Club brought the magic of movement to life during their recent Evening of Dance held in the high school's Black Box Theater. With each performance choreographed and executed by the school's dedicated students, the showcase captivated audiences with an array of dance styles, moods, costumes, and technical effects. Under the guidance of student director, J.R. Sasso '25, and faculty advisor, Ms. Munsell, the dedicated dancers showcased a mesmerizing range of styles, costumes, and narratives showing off their technical skill and emotional depth.
J.R. Sasso '25, the student director and lead choreographer of the showcase, said in his director's note, "The Landmark Dance Club, a unique haven of inclusivity, offers students the freedom to dance and choreograph their routines in a judgment-free space. It's an ideal choice for students who, like me, couldn't take the dance elective but who still wanted to be part of the dance company or engage in a fun after-school activity."
The evening was a true testament to the hard work and dedication put forth by both the performers and their instructors, who have been tirelessly preparing for this event. Congratulations to all participants!
