Congratulations to Landmark 7th grade student N. Dekin who was selected as a winner, among a pool of local elementary and middle students around Cape Ann, in the Endangered Species Day Art Contest. Drawings consisted of endangered and threatened marine species in the Northeast Region and depicted the species’ natural environment and/or the threats and hazards they face.

Performance dates are Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, May 17, 18 and 19. Show time is 7:30 PM.

2012 Boston Globe Scholastic Art Award Winners

NEWS UPDATE! We just learned that two of Landmark's High School students, Abby Kennelly of Milford and Samantha Cusson of Westborough were selected at the national level as awards winners in the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. Congratulations to these talented students.

Earlier this year Landmark School received 30 Gold and Silver Keys and Honorable Mentions from the Boston Globe Scholastic Art and Writing Awards program. Tied with Rivers School in Weston, Massachusetts, Landmark School holds more Gold Key awards than any other private school in the state. Founded in 1923, the national competition is the longest running, most prestigious recognition program for teen artists and writers in the United States.

“These awards are validation of our students’ motivation, vision, and most importantly talent,” said Bob Broudo, Headmaster of Landmark School. “Each year the number of awards just keeps growing. We were so excited to learn that we had earned 30 awards this year. Ten Gold Keys just blows me away! Our students work so hard to achieve success in school and this recognition is enormously rewarding.”

Landmark Middle School’s Boys Varsity Basketball Team Pulls off Perfect (15 – 0) Season

On Thursday, February 16, Landmark Middle School’s Boys Varsity Basketball Team sealed their undefeated season by winning their final game against Brookwood School, to achieve a perfect (15 – 0) season.

The team, coached by Landmark faculty members Kim Davis and Tara Joly-Lowdermilk, was comprised of 11 athletes from grades 6 – 8. Landmark Middle School competes against independent schools in the North Shore and surrounding area.
