Head Coach: Rick Simula

Entering the 2011-2012 season Rick Simula continues to maintain the strong tradition of Landmark Wrestling. In 2006-2007 Simula took the reins of the Landmark program from Bruce Miller who spent the led the team for the 2nd time in his tenure at Landmark from 2004-2006, following the career of Hall of Fame Coach Mike Reinacher who spent 15 season as the Head Coach at Landmark. The 2010-2011 edition of the Vikings not only won the Eastern Independent League Tournament, after being runner-ups the previous two seasons at the EIL Tournament, but also won the regular season title.  Simula was also honored by his peers as the Eastern Independent Wrestling Coach of the Year. Simula also served two years as the President of the NEPSAC Wrestling.
Prior to coaching at Landmark, Coach Simula served as the Assistant Coach from 2000-2001 at Newfound Regional High School in Bristol NH.
 
A native of Plymouth, NH, Simula graduated from Plymouth Regional High School, Plymouth NH where he won the State Title in 1999. Simula continued his wrestling career at nearby Plymouth State University, where he and Assistant Coach Kyle Pietrowski served as training partners.  Coach Simula also placed in the New Englands at both the High School and Collegiate levels.

 

Coach Simula has also spread is knowledge of the sport of Wrestling to the community, by forming an after school wrestling program at the Village School in Marblehead MA from 2004-2006. 
 Off the matt, Coach Simula works in the Expressive Language department and teaches tutorials.  Coach Simula also served as the Assistant Boys Varsity Soccer Coach at Landmark during the 2008-2009 campaign.

Assistant Coach: Billy Swift 

Billy Swift is in his 3rd Year at Landmark and is also in his 3rds season as an Assistant Wrestling Coach. His Coaching responsibilities have included Assistant Coach for the Boys JV soccer Program during the fall 2009 Season, 3 seasons as an Assistant Varsity Wrestling Coach including his first two seasons where he also doubled as the Head JV Coach., and 3 seasons as the Head JV Lacrosse Coach.
 

            In 2010, Landmark School honored Coach Swift with the annual William Meserve Memorial Coach of the Year Award given to the Most Outstanding Coach to honor the late Soccer and Basketball coach who passed away suddenly at the young age of 24 in October of 1998.   Away from the Lacrosse Field and the Wrestling Mat Coach Swift teaches Language Arts.

Assistant Coach: Kyle Pietrowski

           The newest member of the Varsity Wrestling Coaching Staff, is Kyle Pietrowski. Coach Pietrowski, who will double as the Varsity Assistant and Head JV Coach, is in his 2nd season on the Vikings Coaching Staff, and is a 2005 graduate of Plymouth State University in New Hampshire, where he was a teammate of Head Coach Rick Simula. A native of Elliot Maine, Pietrowski, graduated from Mashwood High School in 2001, where he was the Heavyweight State Champion.
           
            Previously, Coach Pietrowski served as the Assistant Coach at Northgate High School, in Walnut Creek, CA.
 

            Off the matt, Coach Pietrowski, teaches Early Literacy tutorial teacher, and resides in Porter Hall.
