Boys Junior Varsity Soccer vs. Concord Academy
Eager to get over the sour taste of defeat lingering from 2 days ago, Landmark again came out strong in a match against a respectable Concord team. This time it was the visitors who scored first, putting Landmark in an early deficit. Captain Jack Y. decided to take matters into his own hands, tearing up the sideline with the ball, and upon reaching the corner, executing a perfect cross to a streaking Will T., who banged in the easy goal with a solid right footer to even the score. Late in the game however, Concord’s offense really started to find its groove, and Landmark found itself staring at a 3-1 deficit for much of the second half. The defense played well just to keep Landmark in the game, but the scoring opportunities were scarce for the Vikings, and they couldn’t quite mount the comeback they needed.
Landmark’s record stands at 0-2 after the loss.
