Does your child have a reading problem or difficulty in other
language areas?
Landmark School is specifically designed for intelligent
and creative students in grades 2 to 12 with language-based
learning disabilities.
The school has two facilities: Elementary/Middle School and
High School. The Landmark Elementary and Middle School campus
is located in Manchester-by-the-Sea, Massachusetts, while
the Landmark High School campus is a few miles south, in
the Prides Crossing section of Beverly, Massachusetts.
Our programs are designed for students who:
- Are bright, with at least average IQ scores
- Have difficulty processing language the same way as their
peers
- Have well-developed thinking, problem-solving, and comprehension
skills
- Have difficulty in simple decoding, spelling, and writing.
- Are free of primary emotional, social or behavioral issues
Students are motivated and committed to the learning process.
Our structured approach allows them to master the strategies
and skills necessary to successfully learn and prosper in
the classroom.
Unfortunately, we are not equipped to meet the needs of students
who have more pervasive learning disabilities, such as:
- Non-verbal learning disabilities
- Asperger’s Syndrome
- Pervasive Development Disorder
- Bi-polar Disorder
- Development Delay
