ACADEMICS INTRODUCTION
What is a language-based learning disability?

More than 15 million students have learning disabilities which are language-based. These learning disabilities, such as dyslexia, prevent them from effectively processing and expressing information. These smart and talented students are often at great risk of being “lost” in traditional classrooms.

But at Landmark School, these students discover new ways to learn and process information. Landmark gives them the tools and resources to overcome their disabilities, create a roadmap for succeeding in life and most importantly - re-discover hope.

Students are actively engaged in their own education. They are challenged to always “learn how to learn” - as well as what to learn. They become critical thinkers, problem solvers, independent learners and advocates for their own needs in the world.

Each student receives a customized curriculum, based on classroom-tested methods that have become a model for thousands of educators from across the country.
